I am new here too, but I need some adviceI have been blogging for only a couple of weeks now and I love it.
Let me start over. I am an accessories designer/author and need some advice in the fashion world.
Ok, here it goes. I am an advid crafter. My work has been featured in serval high-end crafting magazines. My purses are one-of-a-kind and are made with leather, python, handpainted details, fine fabrics and added punches of antique jewelry. I have sold my wares in boutiques and to private collectors.
The things that I create should be in fashion magazines. So I am stuck in the middle here. My craft is way on top of its game, but I also should be apart of the fashion scene. I have a book coming out next year. It has 30+ fashionable projects such as how to make belts handbags, embellish your jeans and home decor. I am very excited about it, but I am caught in the middle of the craft and fashion world. I feel that the fashion world will not accept me because I am a crafter (highend that is)
I think I am ranting a bit. Anybody, please comment I need some input
